Dr. Sophia Dziegielewski, LCSW, created and implemented this highly acclaimed course, that has now successfully instructed over 20,000 Social Workers across the USA.

About the Presenter:

Dr. Sophia F. Dziegielewski is a Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando. She is also Chair of the UCF, Institutional Review Board which provides oversight for the protection of human subjects in university-related research. Throughout her academic,administrative and practice career she has been active in mental health practice and research maintaining her license and serving as an expert witness in the courts.

Also considered an expert in social worker licensure she created and implemented a highly acclaimed Social Work License Exam Preparation Course that has currently helped over 18,000  social workers all across the US to successfully pass their exams.

Dr. Dziegielewski is the recipient of numerous awards, and supports her research and practice activity with over 130 publications, including 8 textbooks, 85 articles, numerous book chapters and hundreds of workshops and community presentations.  Her expertise in mental health diagnosis and treatment makes her a sought after presenter with seminars and workshops that span the globe.  She has also spoke to numerous professional groups across the United States about the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) highlighting both understanding and treatment strategy.  Her passion and expertise in diagnosis, assessment, ethical conduct in the research and practice setting and evidence-based treatment runs strong as she now continues to prepare professionals for utilizing the DSM-5.  Her most recent works on this topic are with John Wiley & Sons, having updated her book titled DSM-IV-TR™ in Action, 2nd ed. DSM-5 Update (2014) soon to be DSM-5™ in Action.  In addition, she is also under contract for another text that specializes in DSM-5 diagnosis, assessment and treatment planning in children and adolescents.

While the NASW understands that emergencies do occur, once a participant has been registered and is expected to attend a scheduled NASW TN Chapter workshop/event, the NASW TN Chapter has factored their attendance into costs already absorbed by the Chapter. Once a participant has registered and is expected to attend a scheduled Chapter workshop or event our cancellation policy is as follows:

•Cancellations received via e-mail 7days or more prior to the event will receive a full refund.

• Cancellations received 6-2 days in advance of the event shall be refunded to the participant with $25 deducted for processing.

• Cancellations received less than 2 days in advance of the event will NOT be refunded.

• Any “no shows” that have not provided advance notice will not be issued refunds or the option to apply the fee to a future scheduled workshop
